So as to why it should be a Normal/Rock, while Zangoose can learn plenty of Fighting type moves, I feel the design does not lend itself to fighting type as well. Not just its visual design, but also its inspiration and themes. Being a mongoose, it lends itself more to rock and ground types. While Steel works with it’s rivalry, it also robs Zangoose of some its individuality now being unable to be poisoned. As for why I chose Rock over Ground, Rock does prevent it from becoming too threatening and annoying to face. Besides, the thought of a STAB Earthquake frightened me, not because its threatening but because then you couldn’t build a set without Earthquake. Plus rocks look cool on it. It also gives access to STAB Head Smash and Stone Edge, frightening but very risky moves. One has much less accuracy and the other heavily reduces its longevity in battle.

It gains a large boost in HP, Attack, and Speed, making it bulkier and much faster, but only small boosts to its defenses and gaining several weaknesses, making it an amazing Suicide attacker and a good revenge killer with the right set. Played right it could sweep despite its weaknesses, though unlikely. Mach Punch RIP.
With Toxic Boost you can keep the usual Zangoose Set. Immunity could allow for a Life Orb set to work well without as much HP sacrifice as the Weak Armor set, which allows for Choice Band and Choice Scarf more easily. Basically meant to switch in on a resisted move/Toxic to demolish teams, or you could take the “safer” route with Toxic Orb. Once it gets going, stopping it without a priority move will not be easy.

Zangrief is the evolved form of Zangoose and its hatred of the Serviper line grows with it. While normally docile, if it senses anything similar to a seviper, it flies into a rage that only ends when the object in question is destroyed. When it has slain a Seviper, it takes the Seviper’s tail and places it into its own tail. The more tails it has, the more respected it is by Zangoose and fellow Zangrief. It’s armor is brittle and used to enhance its strength, as such it spends most of its time replacing the armor.
